Data-Driven Leadership Means Making the Data Public.

As of 2024 , City of Kitchener owns more than 2,000 parcels of land but how much of that land is vacant? How much is underutilized?, What is each property being used for?, What does it cost taxpayers to hold it? and what is the plan for each property?

As Mayor, I would push for a public City Owned Land Inventory, an easy-to-use online map showing:

• Every City-owned property

• Size and current use

• Vacant vs. underutilized status

• Zoning and development potential

• Annual carrying costs, where applicable

• Intended future use

• Timeline and accountability

Public land belongs to the public. The information should be public too.

Data first. Decisions second
